Your perfect Aduwa fit starts with accurate measurements — follow these simple steps.
CHEST
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight.
SHOULDER
Measure across the back from shoulder tip to shoulder tip, where sleeves would naturally begin.
SLEEVE LENGTH
Measure from the top of your shoulder to the wrist or desired sleeve length with your arm slightly bent.
TOP LENGTH
Start at the top of your shoulder (near the neck) and measure down to where you want the kaftan to fall — typically mid-thigh to knee.
ARM (BICEP)
Wrap the tape around the widest part of your upper arm (bicep area) without squeezing. Add ease for comfort.
NECK
Place the tape around the base of your neck, where a shirt collar sits. Keep it relaxed with one finger under the tape.
CAP (HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE)
Wrap the tape around your head, just above your ears and eyebrows, across the widest part. Make sure it’s snug but not tight.
HOW TO MEASURE FOR ADUWA PANTS

WAIST
Wrap the tape around your natural waistline — usually just above your navel or at the point where you normally wear your trousers. Stand relaxed, not sucking in.
HIP
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, while standing with feet together. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight.
THIGH
Wrap the tape around the widest part of your thigh, usually a few inches below your crotch. Make sure your leg is relaxed and slightly apart.
LENGTH (FULL LENGTH METHOD) LENGTH (WAIST TO ANKLE)
Stand straight and measure from your waistline all the way down to your ankle or where you want the pants to end. We use full-length waist-to-ankle measurements (not inseam). This is the common and preferred method across Africa.
